I don’t usually post military rah, rah bullshit
In fact it is usually the opposite. I usually talk about how my experience has been sub par to say the least. But today I want to take a minute to thank my family. Both my grandfathers, one of whom is no longer with us, my father, my step father, the uncle I never met ( he was killed in Vietnam), my step brother Jason, and all my friends that almost never came home. My family knows about service and heroism, and today is about them. Take a moment to reflect regardless of your stance on the current wars, that at one time or another there have been men ready to lay down their lives (many of the did) without a second thought so that you can drink your beer and eat your cheeseburger. The people this holiday is for don’t even get to enjoy it.
